These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of the Baker Cake website and to products and services supplied by Baker Cake, operated by Emily Close.
By using this website or placing an order with Baker Cake, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

The information contained on this website is for general information purposes only. While every effort is made to ensure information is accurate and up to date, Baker Cake makes no guarantees regarding the completeness, accuracy, or availability of website content.

All content on this website, including photographs, text, designs, graphics, logos, and branding, remains the property of Baker Cake unless otherwise credited.

Part B - Business Terms & Conditions
Quotations
All quotations are provided based on the information available at the time.
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Changes to the design, portion numbers, flavours, delivery arrangements, or other requirements may result in a revised quotation
Booking Fee
A non refundable booking fee is required to secure your order.
No booking is confirmed until a booking fee has been received.
Baker Cake accepts a maximum of one wedding cake per day, and two wedding cakes per week. Once booked, the date is reserved exclusively for you
Payments
The final payment is due two weeks before your event for all occasion cakes, or one month before your wedding for all wedding and elopement cakes
Orders may be cancelled if payment is not received by the due date.
Baker Cake reserves the right not to commence or complete work where payments remain outstanding
Design and Consultation Process
Weddings and elopements: Design consultations are normally held approximately 6-9 months before the wedding date
Occasion cakes: Designs are normally agreed at the time of booking
Final cake flavours, portion numbers and quantities of additional items must normally be confirmed at least two months before the wedding, or 3 weeks before an occasion cake is due
While every effort will be made to reproduce agreed designs, some decorative elements are handmade and minor variations may occur.
Colours may vary slightly due to differences in ingredients, lighting conditions, photography, and screen displays.
Allergens and Dietary requirements
Customers are responsible for informing Baker Cake of any dietary requirements, allergies or intolerances relevant to the order at the time of booking or as soon as reasonably possible afterwards.
While every effort will be made to accommodate dietary requirements where agreed, Baker Cake cannot guarantee that all requests can be accommodated.
Products are prepared in a dedicated cake kitchen within a domestic property that regularly handles common allergens including, but not limited to:

Fish
While ingredients can be selected to meet particular dietary requirements, Baker Cake cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contamination, and products may not be suitable for individuals with severe allergies.
Delivery and Collection
Delivery and any set up arrangements will be agreed in advance of your order due date.
All tiered cakes automatically include delivery within the quoted price.
Responsibility for the cake transfers to the client or venue once delivery and set up have been completed.
If the cake is collected by the client or a representative, responsibility transfers upon collection.
Baker Cake cannot accept responsibility for damage occurring after collection, delivery or set up due to handling, storage, venue conditions, or actions of third parties.
Once delivery and set up have been completed, Baker Cake cannot be held responsible for damage caused by venue temperature, weather conditions, direct sunlight, transportation by others, movement of the cake, or storage contrary to advice provided
Fresh Flowers
Where fresh flowers are incorporated into a cake design, Baker Cake will liaise with the client and florist during the design process regarding the suitability of proposed flower varieties.
Only non-toxic flower varieties will be placed on a cake by Baker Cake, and appropriate food safe barriers will be used where required.
Baker Cake cannot accept responsibility for flowers supplied, added, altered, or repositioned by any third party after collection, delivery or completion of set up.
Photographs
Baker Cake reserves the right to photograph completed products and use those photographs for portfolio, website, marketing and social media purposes.
Where client-supplied or professional photographs are used, appropriate permission will be obtained and credit given where necessary or required.
Cancellation
If a client cancels an order, the booking fee is non-refundable.
Where cancellation occurs after work has commenced, Baker Cake reserves the right to retain any payments necessary to cover work completed, materials purchased, and costs incurred.
Force Majeure
Baker Cake will not be liable for delays or failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including, but not limited to, severe weather, accidents, illness, transport disruption, utility failure, government restrictions, or other unforseen events.
In such circumstances, every reasonable effort will be made to agree an alternative arrangement.
Hire Items
Stands, Separators, and other hired items remain the property of Baker Cake at all times.
Unless otherwise agreed, hired items should be returned within 7 days of the event
A security deposit will be required prior to your event, and will be refunded once items have been returned in good condition.
Clients may be charged for loss, damage, or non-return of hired items.
Complaints
If a client believes there is an issue with the quality of a product, Baker Cake must be notified as soon as reasonably possible.
Where the complaint relates to the quality, flavour, or condition of a cake, Baker Cake reserves the right to request the return of the affected tier(s) within 24 hours to allow investigation.
Refunds or other remedies may not be considered where the product has been substantially consumed, discarded, or altered before Baker Cake has had an opportunity to inspect it.
